Barclays' Ricci testifies as trial phase wraps up

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Rich Ricci, the Barclays executive who was tasked with putting together its purchase of Lehman Brothers assets after its bankruptcy in 2008, said on Friday that he was told to make a deal that would add to the company's profits. Ricci, who is now co-chief executive of Corporate & Investment Banking, said during live testimony in a bankruptcy hearing that he was tasked with keeping Barclays' bank capital out of harm's way.
