EE kicks off 'world's fastest' 300Mbps 4G LTE-Advanced tests in London

EE kicks off 300Mbps 4G tests in LondonEE has partnered up with Huawei to test a new super-fast 4G LTE-Advanced (LTE-A) network which supports speeds of up to 300Mbps.
That makes it the fastest network of its kind in the world, and it's been switched on in the Tech City business area of London...

The super-speedy network will spread across other areas of the capital in 2014, with customer trials set for early in December, and EE's CEO Loaf Swantee states that the network will build the foundation for  content like 4K video streaming, which will require at least a 20Mbps stable connection.
The first device to be able to make the most of the crazy speed is a CAT-6 enabled Huawei router capable of supporting up to 20 connections, though Huawei dongles and phones with suitable radios and antennae will be available next summer.
There's no word on specific pricing or roll-out details for the moment – it's only available in a small trial area and for business users - but it's a taste of things to come.
