Google hasn’t yet unveiled its next-generation Nexus 5 smartphone, but at this point it probably doesn’t even have to anymore. The Nexus 5′s specs have been rumored a dozen times, we’ve seen several leaked pictures of the phone, and it even popped up in a pair of videos when a Google employee testing the Nexus 5 left the handset in a bar...
Now, just in case there was any mystery at all left, Android Police has seemingly gotten its hands on a copy of the official Nexus 5 service manual put together by Google’s vendor partner LG. The purported LG document seems to confirm nearly everything that has been rumored about the phone, and it also reveals just about everything else you ever wanted to know about the next pure Google device.
Rumored specs that are now seemingly confirmed include a 5-inch full HD display, a 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 chipset, 2GB of RAM, an 8-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization, a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, a 2,300 mAh battery with support for inductive charging, NFC and Android 4.4 KitKat.
According to several earlier reports, Google plans to launch the Nexus 5 toward the end of October, possibly alongside the company’s first smartwatch.
