One of the most popular cars nowadays in Detroit is Porsche's 911 Targa which is a throwback to the original model from 1965...
The roof section needs 19 seconds to open and close and this procedure is done by simply pressing a button installed in the cabin.
The roof conversion can be done only when the car is stationary and there's a space behind the seats to store the roof when not in use.
Porsche plans on selling the 2014 911 Targa only with all-wheel drive so customers will have to choose between the Targa 4 and Targa 4S. The former starts at 101,600 USD and comes with a 350 bhp 3.4-liter 6-cylinder engine while the latter is priced at 116,200 USD and is powered by a 400 bhp 3.8-liter 6-cylinder.
Sales of the 2014 Porsche 911 Targa 4/4S are programed to begin this summer.
