Retail sales get Easter boost in March
LONDON (Reuters) - Retail sales jumped at their fastest pace in a year in March but the figures were flattered by the earlier timing of Easter this year, a survey by the British Retail Consortium showed on Tuesday. The BRC said the value of sales last month was 4.4 percent higher than a year ago when measured on a like-for-like basis, the biggest rise since last April and double the increase in February.
